Phil Saxena (MD)

Phil has been creating mountain bike trails since 2000 and has innovated a unique approach to trail design, which has been refined through his position as the UCI's official 4X Track Designer from 2003-2010. He has also worked on both private and public projects away from the UCI, including the 2008 Olympic Cross-Country Track in Beijing. Although Phil has developed his talents through creating race tracks, he can also use his own perspective as a recreational rider to ensure trails are optimal for their brief. Phil is also a graduate geologist, whose knowledge in this field can be invaluable.

Duncan Ferris

Duncan has been working with Architrail since 2003, giving him a wealth of experience of the construction process including project management. With an impressive race CV as an elite 4X and downhill rider, Duncan offers a top level perspective of trail design and construction. As well as being a long-term racer and representative of DMR bikes, Duncan is also involved in the R&D of DMR's products. Over the last few years Duncan has continued to become an accomplished machine operative, creating numerous tracks including work on 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games cross-country course in Cathkin Braes.

Tom Macdonald

With extensive experience of building and riding trails across the UK and Europe, Tom has developed a solid understanding of the construction process and project management. This helps contribute to Architrail's accuracy and efficiency of delivering projects on a range of scales. Tom also has a wide range of experience in outdoor environments, having completed a degree in outdoor studies. This has lead to Tom managing Architrail’s construction projects and continuing to work on cutting edge designs with the team.

Edd Wright

Edd takes a creative approach to trail design and draws on his extensive trail experience to ensure the potential of each site is fulfilled. Using his aptitude for digital design, Edd can transfer these ideas to ensure Architrail's designs meet the highest standards that clients have come to expect. In addition to this, Edd is a graduate in Geography, giving him a detailed knowledge of environmental processes. Edd has developed Architrail’s design process and now manages the design of a huge number of tracks of all varieties and scales.

Andrew Titley

Andrew has seen mountain biking evolve over the past 20 years, bringing an unparalleled race pedigree to the team. He has raced at a national standard throughout his racing career, including several years at an elite and world cup level. With a working background as a landscape gardener, Andrew is also a skilled and experienced ground worker.
